Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 June 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using VoyaMed you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. What VoyaMed is
VoyaMed is a referral and care-coordination platform that connects international patients with independent specialist doctors and clinics in Egypt. VoyaMed is not a medical provider and does not practise medicine. All clinical decisions, treatment, and outcomes are the sole responsibility of the treating doctor or clinic.
3. Bookings and cancellations
Bookings are requests that the relevant doctor or clinic confirms. Appointment availability, scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling are subject to the doctor's or clinic's confirmation and the rules shown in the platform at the time of booking.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paymob. Funds are held in escrow by the provider and released to the doctor/clinic once the procedure has been successfully completed. VoyaMed does not store full card or bank details. Fees, refunds, and disputes are handled in accordance with the payment terms presented at checkout and the provider's terms.
5. Doctors and clinics — independent practitioners
Doctors and clinics using VoyaMed act as independent practitioners. VoyaMed is not the employer of any doctor or clinic; it refers patients to them. Each doctor/clinic is solely responsible for clinical care, results, regulatory compliance, taxes, insurance, and licensing, and must provide accurate verification documents, including a valid Egyptian tax-registration document.
6. Patient acknowledgments
Patients acknowledge that VoyaMed coordinates care but is not legally responsible for the medical outcome of any procedure. The treating doctor or clinic is solely responsible for clinical care, results, complications, and any related liability.
6a. Patient-supplied medical documents and data
Any medical record, scan, prescription, photograph, free-text history, allergy list, medication list, lab result, identity document or other personal or health-related information that a patient uploads, sends, dictates, or otherwise provides through VoyaMed (whether through the portal, the registration form, messages, document upload, or in any other way) is provided by the patient at the patient's sole responsibility and at the patient's own risk.
The patient warrants that they have the right to share that information, that it is accurate to the best of their knowledge, and that sharing it with VoyaMed and the treating doctor / clinic does not breach any obligation owed to a third party.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the patient agrees that VoyaMed will not be liable — and the patient irrevocably waives any right to sue, bring a claim against, or seek damages from VoyaMed, its affiliates, employees, officers, contractors or agents — for any loss, damage, injury, complication, misdiagnosis, treatment outcome, breach of confidentiality, or other harm of any kind arising out of, related to, or based on the accuracy, completeness, transmission, storage, sharing, interpretation, or use of medical documents or data that the patient supplied. This waiver covers direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, and punitive damages.
This clause does not exclude liability that, by applicable law, cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence by VoyaMed itself, or any right under mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law that the patient cannot legally waive).
7. Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information, to use the platform lawfully, and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' data.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoyaMed is not liable for clinical outcomes or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws as set out in the definitive agreement. Any disputes will be handled in the competent courts identified there.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
